    Transforming Education For Autism (TEFA)

    Transforming Education For Autism (TEFA)

    Learning, Expression & Connection

Transforming Education for Autism (TEFA) is a pioneering organisation ran by Alex Hopwood and Ellie Edwards-Mann, dedicated to empowering autistic individuals who are non, limited, or unreliably speaking. TEFA's innovative approach is grounded in the belief that every individual is capable of learning, expression, and meaningful connection when supported with the right tools and strategies.

Through their method, Connect through Spelling (CtS), TEFA helps individuals unlock their ability to communicate, engage in education, and participate more fully in life. Their personalised programmes — both online and in-person — guide families through a clear, step-by-step journey, supported by a robust framework and expert guidance.

What sets TEFA apart is their commitment to:

    • Empowering families as the key resource in each individual's development.
    • Collaborating with professionals across disciplines to continually refine and improve their methods.
    • Expanding access to CtS by training skilled professionals across the UK and beyond.

Based in Cheshire and serving families worldwide, TEFA is making a transformative impact — helping individuals find their voice, build lasting connections, and thrive.

We support TEFA's mission and recommend their work to families and professionals.

A Natural Fit with Neurofeedback Brain Training

While NeurOptimal® supports brain flexibility and inner calm through advanced neurofeedback, Pauli's work builds on that foundation by providing clients with hands-on techniques to regulate in the moment, build emotional resilience, and create daily habits that reinforce their progress.

Together, this complementary approach offers a holistic and empowering path to wellbeing supporting not just recovery and performance, but long-term transformation and thriving.

    Unlocking Voices

    Unlocking Voices

Supporting parents to unlock their children's voices

Unlocking Voices are a UK not for profit Community Interest Company, set up in 2014.

They fundraise in order to provide free services for our families wherever possible.

Directed by Sue Finnes, Amanda Aitkenhead and Fiona Curran, Unlocking Voices aim to support parents to get started with the Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) - helping autistic individuals who are non, minimally and unreliably speaking to communicate via an A-Z letterboard.

Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) was devised over 30 years ago by a parent, Soma Mukhopadhyay, and has developed into the global, life-changing method which allows thousands of autistic students to communicate their thoughts through spelling.

The ultimate goal of RPM is to develop independence in communication (by typing, handwriting and speaking), in hobby and interests and in daily living.

Unlocking Voices are proud to support research from Professor Woolgar at Cambridge University, and are passionate about spreading their message.
